AND FOUND MY ARMS FOR SAFETY.

I MISS YOU FILLING MY ARMS & SEARCHING MY EYES.

"PEOPLE" SAY YOU'RE IN A BETTER PLACE....

BUT THIS WAS SOMETHING I COULDN'T KISS AWAY OR MAKE BETTER.

THERE IS A VERY SPECIAL ANGEL,

AND THAT ANGEL'S NAME IS SKYLAR.

SHE IS TRULY TREASURED,

AND IN YOU HEART IS WHERE TO FIND HER.

THIS SPECIAL ANGEL, SKYLAR

HAS LITTLE HIDDEN WINGS,

AND WHEN THOSE ANGEL WINGS ARE SPREAD,

LOVE IS WHAT IS BRINGS.

THIS SPECIAL ANGEL,

SHE HAS A PRECIOUS GIFT.

SHE'S ALWAYS RIGHT THERE WITH YOU,

TO MAKE YOUR SPIRIT LIFT.

SHE IS A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE ANGEL,

AND SHE IS WITH YOU AT EVERY SHOW.

EVERY TIME THAT YOU SING,

IT MAKES HER GOLDEN, HALO GLOW.

SKYLAR, HOVERS OVERHEAD,

ALWAYS WATCHING WHAT YOU DO.

ALWAYS KEEPING,

HER ANGEL EYE ON YOU.

SHE SITS UPON YOUR SHOULDER,

AND WHISPERS IN YOUR EAR,

SHE SAYS,

"I LOVE YOU DADDY, AND I'LL ALWAYS BE RIGHT HERE!"

GOD'S LOAN

I'll loan to you for a little time

a child of mine, He said

For you to love while she lives

and mourn for when she's dead

She may be six or seven years

or twenty-two or three

But will you till I call for her

take care of her for me?

She'll bring her charms to gladden you

and should her stay be brief

you'll have her lovely memories

as solace for your grief

I cannot promise she will stay

since all from Earth return

But there are some lessons taught down there

I want this child to learn

I've looked this wide world over

in my search for teachers true

And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes

I've selected you

Now will you give her all your love?

Not think the labor vain?

Not hate me when I come to call

to take her home again?

I fancied that I heard them say;

"Dear Lord, Thy Will Be Done"

For all the joys this child will bring

the risk of grief we'll run

We'll shelter her with tenderness

We'll love her while we may

And for the hapiness we've known

forever grateful stay

But should the angels call for her

much sooner then we planned

we'll brave the bitter grief that comes

and try to understand

"Just a look in the eyes tells all

A new found sense of vulnerability

Worn like a suit still not broken in

He stood watch as you faded into the night

Held tight, lost it all, as you lay and fight

Tortured himself over who was to blame

Was it past transgressions re-visited

Was it a blood-line he couldn't deny or change

Could not understand, your time had come

The heavens lacked just one touch of beauty

They found it here on earth in you

So, as the sky tore open, and poured out pain and loss

Somewhere music could be heard playing

Exultation, heaven overflowing in joy

At night, though I don't know him

I know he lies awake, just before sleep he sees you

There at the foot of the bed watching

A guardian angel, protector roles reversed

With a blown kiss, fairy dust carries off to sleep

Fears and troubles forgotten in a blanket of dusk

The rising sun, blinks away the remnants

Gone from sight, so much to do, forever to do it all

But always an eye cocked to her father

Watching him and his friends, keeping them safe

And though the pain is great, she soothes his stricken mind

One day the sun will set, and Vince will walk hand in hand with Sky

Skylar My Love

Its been so long

since Iheld you, kissed you,

Or sang you a song.

You're in my mind,

you're in my heart,

Always and Forever,

We're never apart

You taught me something,

I never knew,

what true love is,

only felt with you.

So young and innocent, beautiful too

how could this happen to me and you?

Skylar my Love

the sadness remains,

but you are in heaven,

in no more pain

Can't be consumed

with anger or fear

just remember,

i'm always near.

its time to go,

back with the boys,

and On with the show.

I look at the stars

and what do I see

It's your beautiful eyes

looking down on me.

The shooting star reminds me of you.

It dances, it prances,

makes me smile

When I'm blue.

Remember the days

we played in the tub.

I washed your hair,

and gave you my love.

But my darling, Sky,

all the love that exists

Cannot bring back

the touch of your kisses.

I don't understand

why you were taken from me.

But the love that we share

transcends my need to see.

I go forward today,

one step at a time

And trust that we'll meet,

and you will be mine.

But until our souls

are one once again.

We can meet in my dreams,

and find comfort through Zen.

Or I'll look outside,

at the stars up above

And know that you're showering

me with your love.

Here I am now,

alone in this room.

My heart filled with sorrow,

like a rose that won't bloom.

I look at the sky,

and think of your name.

I start to cry,

it helps me deal with my pain.

The tears that I cry,

dry up in the sun

That shines from the heavens,

where my Angel has gone.

A few months have passed,

and the seasons have changed

My petals have opened

from the tears that I've rained.

Little girl who love to dance

With sunbeams in your eyes

Unafraid to take a chance

You were your daddy's pride

Yoour smile could light the deepest gloom

Enchanting from the start

You brought sunshine to every room

And captured all our hearts

You were more treasured than any gold

And all that we held dear

We never thought to see you go

That you'd always be here

Then the angels began to sing

An ageless lullaby

They picked you up and gave you wings

And let your spirit fly

Away from all your worldly pain

Into the bright blue dawn

Our love for you, it still remains

Though from us, you are gone

Though our pain still lingers after

And we might be apart

The sweet mem'ry of your laughter

Skylar Angel

Angels give her time to frolic

Space to dip and soar

Freed from tubes and diabolic

Fetters that she wore

Let her reach and touch the stars

Dance upon the moon

Little Skylar, angel of ours

Taken oh, too soon

Teach her of this great big world

She has left behind

She's just a very little girl

Let her spirit shine

Let her play upon the cotton

Clouds up in the sky

She used to look up there and count'em

As they passed her by

Let her stop and smell the flowers

Heady, sweet perfume

Let har sing and dance for hours

Through each golden room

Let her climb upon a rainbow

Slide down to the end

Her smile will set your world aglow

Over and over again

Give her a brush to paint the sky

With sunset's golden rays

Grant her no more tears to cry

And endless happy days

As she soars about freewheeling

She was born a little angel She was so full of life Always so

carefree Then one day God said he needed a little angel So he came

and took this little angel away Her daddy didn't understand why she was

taken from him She came to him in a dream She told him that she was

alright She told him not to cry, that she would come back when her

work was done And they would be together again So now she sits on her

cloud and watches over her daddy Knowing that one day they will be

together again

WHISPER OF ANGEL WINGS

Today I stumbled and once again

Was lifted up by an unseen hand.

What comfort and joy that knowledge brings

For I hear the whisper of baby angel wings.

The guardian angels God sends to us all

To bear us up when we stumble and fall.

You gave a long hard struggle.

But you lost it in the end.

Now your up in heaven.

And I'm all alone again.

You always were my buddy.

You always were my friend.

You always were somebody.

On whom I could depend.

I know your better off

Way up above with god.

But there is this huge part of me,

That wishes you'd never gone.

I think of you each and every night.

And when I go to bed I pray.

I pray that God is watching and seeing that your okay.

but was taken from her family

Now she sits

pearched upon a cloud of white

"The Little Girl I Never Knew"

Your little face, it says a thousands words

like lets go play or read or sing a song.

And the stories I read about your short life,

The pain you were in is now long gone

the joy of your life is remembered by all

the angels have made a grand place for you

they needed you quickly for things you must do.

I searched for so long

there seemed nothing to find

Then I met you

Now you're all that's on my mind

I was heart broken when you left

just as the sun began to shine

Sky

When I look up at the sky, I think of an angel

I don't know her, to me she's a stranger

She's the smallest angel I know

I was very sad, when she had to go

Even though she is gone, maybe it was for the better

For, she has brought so many people together

I know her mommy, daddy, family and friends miss her a lot

But her memories will never leave their thoughts

I didn't want to die

I fought and fought to stay alive

But my little body had no more strength

left inside

My time was up

Time to say goodbye
