Ex-'Baywatch' Babe: 9 Years
With Sixx Is Enough
(CBS) LOS ANGELES Donna D'Errico, Playboy's Miss September 1995 and a
former "Baywatch" actress, has reportedly filed for divorce
from husband Nikki Sixx, the bassist for Motley Crue.
The couple was married for little more than nine years. She recently
turned 38-years-old and he is 48.
It is the most recent high-profile celebrity rock star marriage bust-up
following on the heels of Heather Locklear filing for divorce from Bon
Jovi's Richie Sambora. Loclear, of course, was also married to Tommy
Lee, of Motley Crue fame.
D'Errico's other credits include the TV show "Reno 911!" as
well as the movies "Austin Powers in Goldmember" and
"Kiss the Bride."
The couple separated after four years of marriage but D'Errico returned
to the rocker after he completed a stint in rehab. View

DIGGING THE DIRT: From Bob Dylan and
Ali G to Motley Crue? Larry Charles, who has written for Seinfeld
and Entourage, directed episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and
recently helmed Dylan's rather strange Masked and Anonymous,
will direct a Crue biopic based on their classic 2001 tales of
excess, The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock
Band, to be produced by MTV Films and Paramount Classics. Charles
is currently filming the Sacha Baron Cohen project Borat.
According to sources, there is no truth to the rumor the band's
management exec (and one of the film's producers) Jordan Berliant
will be played by Gilbert Gottfried, though he insists Brad Pitt is also
up for the role.

Publisher Chronological Crue has announced the
release of two brand-new MÖTLEY CRÜE books, titled "Mötley
Crüe Down Under: On Tour with The Carnival of Sins" and "What
Mötley Crüe Means to Me: Crüeheads Share Their Stories".
Now available from CafePress, the paperbacks give rock music lovers a
unique insight into life on the road with the bad boys of rock 'n' roll
during their wildly successful comeback tour, as well as short stories
showing the huge impact and inspiration of MÖTLEY CRÜE on the lives of
their fans.
After a short intro by the CRÜE's resident on-stage little person
Mighty Mike, "Mötley Crüe Down Under" takes you around
Australia with author Paul Miles for six shows in eight days with MOTÖRHEAD.
Readers will see how diehard fan Miles makes his way into the band’s
inner-sanctum as he diaries his experiences with MÖTLEY's Nikki Sixx,
Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Mick Mars, the CRÜE's crew, the cities he
visits, and the people he meets along the way.
"Mötley Crüe Down Under" is a detailed, first-hand account
of MÖTLEY CRÜE's massive 2005-2006 Carnival of Sins tour that in two
days finally finishes blowing up arenas around the world. The book also
features 100-plus pictures from the road, including photos taken by
Nikki Sixx and other members of the crew. It's an "all-access"
pass, taking readers in and out of the strip club, the restaurant, the
beach, aeroplanes, bars, arenas, hotel rooms, limos, shops, backstage
corridors, nightclubs, dressing rooms — even the graveyard!
Like MÖTLEY CRÜE themselves, their fans have also experienced their
fair share of divorce, death, addiction, love, abuse, and incarceration.
"What Mötley Crüe Means to Me" is an eye-opening
"by-the-fans, for-the-fans" style collection of short stories
from worldwide competition-winning fan contributors, aged 11-41.
Following a foreword by Shaun Pollitt of the band's own Motley.com,
sixty-nine Crüeheads open up their hearts for the whole world to read
their stories of how they've looked up to the CRÜE as family figures,
guiding and shaping their worlds, while fellow fans have become the
cousins, bonded by the MÖTLEY way of life in their veins.
Paul Miles, editor of "What Mötley Crüe Means to Me" says,
"The fans show in this book that it's the CRÜE and their music
that they religiously turn to for help to pull them through the ugliest
and toughest of times they face in their lives. And the CRÜE is always
there for them as a positive energy to celebrate with, to wallow with,
to vent with, and to be inspired by. You will laugh at the things they
have done; fans will nod their heads in agreement as they relate to
their feelings."
The release of these two new MÖTLEY CRÜE books marks the first foray
into traditional publishing by Chronological Crue — the
highly-acclaimed rock website at CrueTime.com that is used by TV
networks, music industry journalists and critics as an invaluable
reference on MÖTLEY CRÜE. With its pages now read well-over four
million times, Chronological Crue is considered THE definitive source of
fact on the world's most notorious rock band, and will soon also be
available as a three-volume series of books introduced by Neil Strauss
— best-selling author of "The Dirt".

Article Taken from the Houston
Press:
Mötley Goüge
Wanna hang out with Vince Neil? Got an extra five grand on ya?
By Scott Faingold
Article Published Mar 30, 2006
It started out as a normal day for Tim Murrah, owner of The Mink Bar on
Main Street.
"I go to work and there's a message on my answering machine from Mötley
Crüe's management," Murrah told Wack in an exclusive interview.
"So I got in touch with the guy [one "Rob" with Upper
Deck Management], and he says, 'Hey, we're lookin' for somewhere to take
the Crüe after the Houston show and we wanted to come by,' and I said,
'Yeah, okay, fine.' So he goes, 'Well, are you up for it?' And I didn't
know what he was gettin' at. So I just said, 'Yeah, feel free, bring 'em
by, we'll take care of 'em.'
"And then he was like, 'Okay, well, here's the deal.' And I was
like, 'Wh-what deal?' And he goes, 'It's $5,000.' And I was like, 'What,
are you jokin'?' and he's like, 'No.' And I said, 'Hey, y'know, what the
heck? Five thousand dollars for what? What do I get for $5,000, dude?
Are they gonna perform for me? Are they gonna shake every fan's hand?
Are they gonna wash dishes? What are they gonna do for 5,000 bucks?'
"So he was like, 'No, you don't understand.' And I said, 'You're
right, I don't. What the hell?' And then he goes, 'Well, for, uh,
$5,000, we'll bring the band by and it'll be the talk of the town.
Everybody loves the Crüe.' And I said, 'Look, dude: I don't have to pay
anybody to come to this bar. If you're into it, you're into it -- you
and your cronies are more than welcome to come, but I'm not givin' you
one red cent.'
"And he's like, 'All right, look: Let me shoot straight. I can't
guarantee the whole band, I can only guarantee Vince Neil...But usually
Nikki [Sixx], who's a big superstar, goes along with Vince.' And I said,
'Well, what does Vince do, dude?' And he goes, 'Well, Vince'll come in,
sign a few autographs and hang out for an undisclosed amount of time, I
can't guarantee how long, a-and you know, whatever.'
"And so I was like, 'No, dude, I can't.' And he goes, 'Y'know
there's loads of other clubs that are interested in this.' And I said,
'Well, hey, right on, man, go make your money somewhere else.'
"And I didn't think of it when I was on the phone with him, but
afterwards I was like, what a scam! They could set it up with [us] and
then the next guy and the next guy and in a 45-minute round trip, Vince
Neil could gross an extra $15,000 on the night. What, you're gonna get
paid $150,000 [to play], plus who knows what in merchandise, and then
you wanna go out and rape somebody for an extra couple grand?! I dunno,
maybe those pathetic places, like Dirt Bar or Crome, who want so
desperately to be seen as 'the cool rock place' or whatever...maybe it's
worth it for them to pay $5,000 just to say, 'Oooh, Vince Neil walked in
our front door.' But that's like sellin' your soul, y'know?"
We know, dude. We know. "Rob" from Upper Deck could not be
reached for comment.

Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted, and
Gilby Clarke Turn To 'Rock Star' For Supergroup Singer
Over the last few weeks, hundreds of undiscovered singers have been
blindly auditioning for the second season of CBS' "Rock Star,"
not knowing which band they'd be asked to front should they follow in
J.D. Fortune's footsteps and walk away from thereality television
experiment victorious
The producers behind "Rock Star" have now revealed that
they've recruited three big names to form a rock supergroup, musicians
who will leave it up to America to find the band's voice.
Mötley Crüe kitman Tommy Lee, former Metallica bassist and current
Voivod member Jason Newsted, and onetime Guns N' Roses axeman Gilby
Clarke will be banding together as Supernova, utilizing the Mark
Burnett-produced "Rock Star" to secure a lead singer.
The show's first season featured the surviving members of INXS. Fortune
was picked to replace the late Michael Hutchence, and the revived outfit
released Switch in November. To date, the album has sold close to
308,000 copies.
Burnett's team has enlisted songwriter Butch Walker to produce the
inaugural Supernova offering, which will be released in 2007, in
conjunction with a full U.S. tour. Walker has produced and written tunes
for the likes of Avril Lavigne, Pink, Bowling for Soup, Sevendust and
Lindsay Lohan. He also worked with Lee on his 2005 solo release,
Tommyland: The Ride.
Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke are set to return as the show's hosts.
Each week, "Rock Star" will feature guest appearances by
notable musicians and other celebrities. "Friends of mine, like
Slash, Macy Gray, Moby and Rob Zombie, will join us and throw in their
two cents about who should stay and who should go," Navarro told
Variety.
Lee remains an active Crüe member, and Newsted — who left Metallica
five years ago — is preparing for the spring launch of Katorz, the
first Voivod album in the band's 20-plus-year career recorded without
founding guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour, who succumbed to
colon cancer back in late August. Clarke's résumé includes his
three-year tenure as the rhythm guitarist for GN'R, and a brief stint
with L.A. Guns. He also played with the reformed MC5 on their 2005
European tour.
March 10th, 2006
According to MelodicRock.com,
MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee has been in negotiations with the
producers of the "Rock Star" show for the last few weeks to
take on a star role in the revamped show format. The house band will be
retained, with Tommy Lee taking the place of INXS searching for his next
"Rock Star" lead vocalist. The winner will front Lee's next
studio album and a tour (timing to be determined).
Rumors over who would front the show following INXS' 2005 role have been
widespread since the first season finale. After a suitable band could
not be found, it was originally decided to gather a group of name
musicians and search for a singer for a brand new band — until Lee
stepped in, that is. An official announcement is expected within a day
or two, but Lee gave this hint away as recently as this week in an
interview with the Richmond Times-Dispatch:
Q: Any chance of another season of "Tommy Lee Goes to College"
or are your academic days over?
Tommy Lee: "In about two days you're gonna hear a statement about
something new. I'm looking at the press release right now, but I can't
tell you what it is."
Q: Is it an NBC press release?
Tommy Lee: "No, a different network."
Q: But we'll be seeing you back on TV?
Tommy Lee: "Absolutely."

Allhiphop.com is reporting
that MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee "got punched in his
mouth" at the Shady Bowl Super Party at the State Theatre in
Detroit, Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 4. According to the report,
"the assault is/was on videotape."
Although details are sketchy on this alleged physical confrontation, a
BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor claims that he saw Lee "get the crap beat
out of him by rapper Trick Trick's Goon Sqwad crew after Lee was openly
dissing Detroit's own Kid Rock [former fiancé of Tommy's ex-wife Pamela
Anderson]. They really pounded him like a snare drum! Tommy Lee was
supposed to DJ at the Penthouse magazine party later that night but I
guess he was a no-show."
At press time, there has been no word regarding the extent of Lee's
injuries — assuming that the assault did, in fact, take place.

Rock's most notorious bad boys, Motley Crue, have sold more than 40
million albums worldwide, documented their quintessentially decadent
lifestyle in their best-selling 2001 autobiography and soon-to-be
feature film, The Dirt, and had one of the top-grossing tours of 2005,
with all four original members reuniting to play before an estimated one
million people in the U.S.
Tommy Lee, Mick Mars, Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx first joined forces in
1981, their albums generating such iconic singles as "Smokin in the
Boys Room", "Girls Girls Girls", "Dr. Feelgood"
and "Dont Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)". As one of the
most indulgent bands in history, their reckless lifestyle eventually
took its toll, and they disbanded in 1999. With their reunion six years
later, Motley Crue released the double-platinum
Red, White & Crue and spent most of the year on the road for their
Carnival of Sins tour; the next leg begins in February and is on sale
now.
Carnival Of Sins, the live-concert 2-DVD set documenting last year's
infamous top-grossing reunion tour is now available. The live
companion CD to the DVD "Carnival Of Sins Live", Volume
I&II will be in stores February 7. Additionally, a special
pay-per-view broadcast of "Carnival Of Sins Live" will

MÖTLEY CRÜE Fans Deny Pulling MICK MARS
Off Stage At Detroit Gig - Jan. 5, 2006
Susan Whitall of The Detroit News has issued the following report:
It could be a scene from the movie "Spinal Tap": Veteran
rocker calls the cops after a concert, complaining that two fans pulled
him off the stage.
But the fans say, no, the rocker fell off the stage. Too many Shirley
Temples?
It all happened during the closing number at the MÖTLEY CRÜE show on
New Year's Eve at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Guitarist Mick Mars leaned forward toward some fans; he says to give
them a guitar pick.
But the two fans, Karen Ann Sklar, 30, of Birmingham and Christine Bajaj,
32, of Sterling Heights, told Auburn Hills police they saw Mars reaching
out to them, and thought he was trying to pull them onstage, maybe to go
backstage.
Everybody knows there ain't no party like a MÖTLEY CRÜE backstage
party.
Witness reports vary; two bystanders backed the women up, saying they
didn't yank him, while a Palace security officer thought they did.
At any rate, Mars, who had a hip operation just over a year ago,
plummeted to the floor.
Although he asked that the police be called, Mars declined to press
criminal charges. In a comment posted on MÖTLEY CRÜE's web site, the
guitarist said, "I'm fine, I am undamaged. I had a great time, and
to the girl that pulled me in, I am not upset with her or mad. I hope
she got my pick. See ya'll next time. Thanks for a very memorable New
Year's evening."
Neither Sklar nor Bjaj returned calls from a reporter.
Maybe it's age maybe it's that hip operation, but longtime concertgoers
will remember a time when rockers like Bruce Springsteen used to
willingly fling themselves out into a Detroit audience — and be
caught.
